The HA bolt-on lifting point is a semi-permanent load attachment point designed to give you a fixed, reliable anchor for both lifting and lashing applications. Manufactured from tough, ductile alloy steel and available across three working load limits, it’s built for demanding industrial, construction and transport environments.
Overview
Designed as a fixed anchor point rather than a swivelling fitting, the HA bolt-on lifting point bolts directly onto machinery, fabrications, moulds and structural steelwork wherever a welded lifting eye isn’t practical or permitted. Because it’s a bolted fitting rather than a welded one, it can be removed, relocated or replaced without any hot work — a genuine advantage for fabricators, plant engineers and anyone managing lifting points across a fleet of equipment.
Every HA lifting point is manufactured and tested in accordance with EN1677-1 and ASME B30.26, giving you certified, traceable load attachment hardware backed by William Hackett’s manufacturing standards.

Applications
Lifting
Fixed lifting anchor points on moulds, dies, fabrications, machine bases, generators, containers and structural steelwork — anywhere a permanent, certified lift point is needed without the cost or downtime of welding.
Lashing & Securing
Robust tie-down and lashing points for securing loads on transport, plant and equipment during storage or road/rail transit.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a bolt-on lifting point used for?
A bolt-on lifting point, such as the William Hackett HA, is used to create a fixed, semi-permanent lifting or lashing anchor on machinery, moulds, fabrications and equipment where a welded lifting eye is not practical.
What working load limits does the HA bolt-on lifting point come in?
The HA bolt-on lifting point is available with working load limits of 1.0 tonne, 3.0 tonne and 5.0 tonne, part codes 8-H27-1T, 8-H27-3T and 8-H27-5T.
What bolts should I use with the HA bolt-on lifting point?
William Hackett recommends grade 10.9 or grade 12.9 bolts for fitting the HA bolt-on lifting point. Bolts are not included with the product.
What safety factor and testing does the HA lifting point have?
The HA bolt-on lifting point has a 4:1 safety factor. Load rated parts undergo 100% magnaflux crack detection after heat treatment, are proof tested to 2.5 times the working load limit, and fatigue rated to 1.5 times the working load limit.
Can the HA lifting point be used at low or high temperatures?
Yes. It has an operational temperature range of -40°C to +200°C (-40°F to +392°F) with no reduction in working load limit.
